Overview

The DC1A686-D3ZC is the top of DICHEN’s fuser line and built entirely around DisplayPort 1.4. Three full-bandwidth ports carry 1080p at up to 639 Hz, 2K at up to 364 Hz, ultrawide 3440 × 1440 at up to 264 Hz and 4K at up to 164 Hz. At 1280 × 720 DICHEN claims over 1000 Hz.

It puts two computers on one monitor in hardware, with no software layer. One button on the case switches between them, sources at different resolutions can run together with scaling (2K 360 Hz with 1K 360 Hz, for example), and the signal can go out to an external capture card for recording or streaming.

Two things it doesn’t do: there is no EDID injection, and there is no HDMI at all, so a monitor without a DisplayPort input won’t connect.

DICHEN says it tested the device on 62 monitor models and claims about 99% compatibility within the supported bandwidth. The case comes in gold, red or silver; write to us before ordering if the colour matters.
